Struggling for air? Dying? He is nearly all darkness,
bubbles clinging to his hair. He is trying to shake the water
from the surface of his body from underwater? Desperation?
What is the state he returns to? Like a coral reef the cloudy,
chalky smoke seems to stick to him,             like it’s pulled toward and into him
and each time the opening of the eyes          it’s as though Till is shaking from the dirt
an extreme want?
