At this time, we are interested in two types of submissions: general submissions for Paperbag and submissions which respond to the guidelines of Anne Carson and Robert Currie's "Instructions for Folding."

General submissions of visual art, poetry, sound, experiment, and collaboration are open from January 1, 2011 through February 28, 2011, after which point all submissions will be politely declined.

For poetry and visual art, please send between six and twelve pages of work.

For sound, please do not send more than three files. Please attach them to your email. An .mp3 at 128k is sufficient.

For video, please send us a link or attach a lo/med res version to your email.

Paperbag is open to simultaneous submissions, but please let us know immediately if any part of your submission is accepted elsewhere.

Please do not send prose unless you query us first.

Please make clear in the subject of your email whether you are submitting to "General Submissions" or to "Instructions for Folding." You may include in the body of the email whatever information you feel is relevant.

"Instructions for Folding" will be reviewed on a rolling basis until we say otherwise. Check that page for slightly more detailed directions by clicking here.
